Topic: 

Marc Narlesky, Technical Assistant to the Advocate at the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) will describe services available from the Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate’s Office when “normal channels fail.” He will also talk about changes for the taxpayer, the practitioner and the FTB that have occurred over the past year. He will cover other topics including but not limited to California Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), recent legislation changes, communicating with the FTB and other policies and procedures that may be helpful to know for your practice.

Marc is a Technical Assistant to the Advocate in the Franchise Tax Board’s (FTB's) Taxpayers' Rights Advocate’s Office. He has been a member of the Advocate’s Office since December, 2015 and he started with the FTB in 1989, working as an Auditor and Reviewer.Marc’s professional experience began in public accounting where he earned his CPA. He graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and a minor in Industrial Technology.
