Date and Time:
Saturday, August 25, 2018 8:15 AM Registration 9:00 AM Workshop
Location:
Doubletree Hotel 835 Airport Blvd Burlingame, CA 94010
Topic: Federal Tax Law Changes and Their Impact on California Returns
This Workshop will cover the new Section 199A - 20% of Business Income deduction, which entities qualify what constitutes business income and how credit is applied toward the non-specified and specified service business with samples of early calculations. In December of 2017, President Trump signed into law with a massive overhaul to our tax system. It affected a lot of the tax code, but none more than the Schedule A. We will discuss the old rules and what miscellaneous deduction will still be allowed. Then go over the new rules and discuss how this will be implemented on the tax return. We will also discuss what California conforms to, what they don't and how to show these differences on the California return..
