Topic: Reasonable Compensation and the Effects on Business

The IRS has mandated that reasonable compensation is required of all Corporations. As a preparer, you may be subject to a penalty of $5000 if reasonable compensation is not included on the Corporation tax return. How can you be sure that you are meeting the requirements? This Workshop will show you how IRS audits are defining the term and provide guidance through exploring what professional organizations are doing to insure compliance. The S Corporations are the only form of business of a taxpayer that is subject to a reduction in 199A based on reasonable compensation. How does this compare with other pass through entities? Are there any advantages to being a C Corporation since the 199A deduction is not allowed? Through this workshop, we will interactively create comparisons of 199A and other factors that affect the profit of a business entity and discover if you currently have the best solution for your client and your own business.
