Topic:

California tax credits help reduce the amount of tax your client may owe. If they pay rent for their housing, have a family with children, or help provide money for low-income college students, they may be eligible for one or more tax credits. California also has an earned income tax credit that may get your client a refund even if they do not owe tax. The purpose of this workshop is to review and understand the California Tax Credits, California Earned Income Tax Credit and Young child Tax Credit, Child Adoption costs credit, Child and dependent care expenses credit, College access tax credit, Dependent parent credit, Foster Youth Tax Credit, Joint Custody Head of Household, Other state tax credit, Prior year AMT credit, Nonrefundable renter’s credit, and Senior head of household credit. The goal of this workshop is to enhance the tax professional’s selection and use of California tax credits, thereby providing a complete, current, and correct tax return for their clients.
