We will also discuss non-employee compensation, backup withholding, and the purpose of Form W-9. Presenters:

Aaron Chambers & Jinhua Amy Lu

Aaron Chambers: I have spent my life working in and for small to midsize closely held businesses, both as an employee and as a consultant. I have a deep, personal understanding of the many challenges faced by these businesses and their management and ownership groups. My unique background allows me to provide competent solutions in many areas. I am equipped with over ten years of sales and operations experience in small businesses in the retail, manufacturing, and distribution industries. I also spent several years in the public accounting realm, specializing in management consulting and tax resolution, primarily with troubled companies, as well as experience as a financial statement auditor. My current practice focuses almost exclusively on advisory services, for troubled companies, including interim and fractional CFO/Controllership work, value growth advisory, and bankruptcy & insolvency consulting. I serve on the Board of Directors for both the California Tax Education Council and the Workforce Development Board of Madera County. I am an active member of several industry organizations.

Jinhua Amy Lu: Amy has more than ten years of experience providing payroll compliance & consulting, bookkeeping, human resources compliance & advisory, and tax services to many small business clients. She spent most of those years at a well-regarded CPA firm in Fresno prior to joining Impossible Services Group, Inc. as VP of Small Business Services in late 2022. Amy is fluent in several languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and Accountancy, which enables her to provide five-star service to the extremely underserved Chinese community throughout California. Amy holds the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation and is a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer. Her educational background includes both a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Certificate in Finance from California State University, Fresno. Fun fact: Amy was the President of Beta Alpha Psi during her junior year at Fresno State. She is currently in the process of obtaining her Enrolled Agent credential from the Internal Revenue Service. Amy serves on the School Site Council for Steinbeck Elementary in Fresno. She is an active member of PayrollOrg (formerly the American Payroll Association) and the California Society of Tax Consultants.
