Topic: 

We will be covering 1031 exchanges, including their mechanics, restrictions, advantages and limitations, and tax consequences. We'll also cover Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs) as targets of 1031 exchanges. We'll discuss the history, processing, and so-called "seven deadly sins" of DSTs. Finally we'll look at specific DST offerings to get a feel for what's available to prospective investors.

Karl is the founding partner of Karl Schorr Wealth Management, LLC, a California Registered Investment Advisor. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1985 and spent 20 years writing software, usually related to finance. In 2012 he founded Karl Schorr Wealth Management and now manages investment portfolios for families in California and seven other states. Karl has been a CSTC member since 2013. Outside the office, he loves fishing, pickleball, and exotic foods.
