Topic Description:

Workshop will help attendees become more comfortable with researching tax problems that may come across during the year. Ethics will be presented including discussing what it means to practice before the IRS, what should a tax preparer do if they have knowledge of a client’s omission of income, what a tax preparer may rely on with using client provided information, and standards associated with giving advice to client.

Presenter:

George Fakhouri, CPA
George Fakhouri is a C.P.A. in private practice for over 40 years. George holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Santa Clara University, graduate work in Accounting and Tax at San Jose State and Golden Gate University. He is Past President of the California Society of Tax Consultants and Central Valley Chapter of the California Society of Tax Consultants. George has been a speaker and moderator of the Alamo Tax Retreat for the past 15 years as well as speaking at the annual Updates for the Central Valley. Mr. Fakhouri has been a guest speaker on taxation for several tax organizations and for the general public over the years.
