Topic: 

We will learn how to do an offer and compromise online: We will look at the new tool available to tax professionals to see if their clients qualify for the offer and compromise program, before they even start the process. Time permitting, we will also hear about important tax law updates.

Presenter:

Lisa Hamilton, Department of Treasury Stakeholder Liaison
Lisa is a Stakeholder Liaison with the Internal Revenue Service, Small Business/ Self-Employed Division. Her duties include working as a relationship manager for small business owners and the practitioner community. She has held a variety of other positions with the agency, including an Appeals Officer for the Appeals Division, a Tax Compliance Officer for the Examination Division, and a Revenue Officer for the Collection Division. Lisa attended Cal State Los Angeles where she studied Accounting and Economics. She has utilized her skills as a presenter to various organizations and extensive volunteer efforts at VITA sites. She has also served at disaster relief sites on behalf of IRS.
