Topic Description: 

The course will review the latest information on preparing California tax returns. This will include various new laws taking effect in 2022 and 2023, the latest on the Pass Thru Entity Tax and examples of when or when not to utilize PTET, plus various information from FTB, EDD, Secretary of State, and Charitable Trusts.

Presenter(s):

Michele Patterson, an Enrolled Agent, prepares individual and business entity returns, oversees bookkeeping, payroll services, and California DRE inspections and reviews. She is a CSUF alumni. She frequently assists Claudia in presenting continuing education classes for various tax topics.

Claudia Stanley, CPA is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, and serves as treasurer of the California Society of Tax Consultants, as education chair of the Central California Chapter of Enrolled Agents, and as treasurer of Fresno’s local chapter of American Business Women’s Association. Claudia is a long-time member of CSTC. In 2016 she was named member of the year of the Central Valley Chapter of CSTC and in 2001 she was named one of the Top Ten Women of the Year in the nation by the American Business Women’s Association. She frequently speaks on various tax topics.
