Airbnbs can be a great way to earn some extra cash, but the tax rules for short-term rentals aren't simple. How long is short-term? What's the 14 day rule? Does the income go on Schedule C or Schedule E? Are extra services offered? What about occupancy tax and/or Airbnb tax? Come learn with us about the ins and outs of Airbnb and short-term rentals.

Jorge Padilla is an Enrolled Agent who started his tax career with the Internal Revenue Service. He served for nearly seven years in the Collections department as a Revenue Officer where he gained invaluable experience and knowledge in resolving non-compliant taxpayer cases. Immediately after graduating high school, Jorge attended UCLA and served in the US Marine Corp Reserve where he became a Persian Gulf War veteran. Currently, Jorge maintains a small practice in Tustin, CA where he focuses on individual and small business taxpayers and on collection representation.
